HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW/  The post where I share with you the results of my balcony gardening adventures.  The geraniums have finally come to terms with their new homes (after being uprooted from the guttering).  The passionfruit likewise was a slow starter but now promises to take over the entire railing The mint has gone a bit scrappy as is the rosemary, and the basil was overplundered, but the thyme is going great guns.  The little puple-flowered creeper is a weed I am sure, but it looks so nice tangling all over the place I think I'll leave it be.

SPRUNG/  Been eating a lot of spring onions lately.  They are pretty good. With peanuts.
THIS LITTL LIGHT O' MINE/  This is about as close as I was game to get to the annual Lantern Festival at Albert Park this year.  Have not quite been in the mood for heaving stompy smelly crowds lately, I think I'll have quite enough of that at The Olympics!

COFFEE REVIEW/  Imperial Lane, Fort Lane, CBD.

+ L'affare beans!
+ Location, IL is in a covered alleyway which is superb for people watching and is directly on my way everywhere, which is perfect for using my...
+ Loyalty card.
+ Free Wifi.
+ Heaters!  Nothing better to bring a bit of warmth to a shady and grim alley, than heat and light.  It's cosiness cannot be overstated.
+ Perfect coffee first time.  The cup was hot and rich, with that delicious soft tobaccoey bitterness that L'affare is loved for.  Hot milk arrived with the cup, and you can see that the crema was intact an unviolated when it got to me.  Very pleased.
- The only minus is that I am off the coffee for three weeks, so won't be able to take as much advantage of my new favourite spot as I'd like.

QUARANTE/  For tea.

INKEY PINKEY PONKEY/  In my life, I find it quite important to have a good key ring that fulfills the following requirements:
  • Not too heavy, I hate having to dig it out from the bottom of the bag.
  • Easy to grab without looking.
  • Not too bulky, I don't have a lot of keys and I like to slip it in my pocket from time to time when I go bagless.
  • Attractive.
With all this in mind, I recently discovered that the perfect keychain for my whole life is this, a leather shoelace cut down to size and looped through the ring.
  • Tick.
